Our challenging curriculum guides students to achieve their God-given potential and prepares them for a life of leadership and service to their communities and to the Lord.
Every day is started with prayer. Our teachers gather every morning to pray for our school, our students, our families, our world, and each other. It is a time to start the day right, focusing on our position as ambassadors for Christ in an educational setting.
Students start each day with prayer and many classes also start with prayer. It provides a time for students to uplift each other and to bring before God the burdens of their hearts.
Every week a group of teachers, parents, grandparents, and friends of New Covenant gather for a time of prayer to pray over our school, our students, our staff, and our world. This example demonstrates to our students of the “effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16
This is an opportunity for our students in all grades to meet and be connected to one another with their God through a time of prayer and conversation. Older students are paired with younger students for the purpose of approaching the throne of God together with one another in mind. Younger students enjoy meeting “the big kids” and learning from their example. Likewise, the older students enjoy being an encourager and prayer partner for the things that matter most to their “buddies”. Many of these relationships are treasured beyond just the time spent in prayer each month.
See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Thirty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September. This is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.
Students in all grades have the weekly opportunity to worship and learn together through testimonies and lessons presented by guests and friends of New Covenant. Our worship time during these chapel services are led by various groups of students, teachers, and guests.
In addition to worship in chapel, Elementary classes also have times of worship during their Bible class in their classrooms.
‘Awakened’ is our middle school student worship team. These students meet three class periods per 6-day cycle to worship together, talk about their faith, and plan some Elementary chapels. This team assists in Elementary chapels approximately once a month.
‘Ignited’ is our high school student worship team. These students meet two class periods per 6-day cycle to learn music they use to lead their fellow students into a time of worship at some of our Middle/High School Chapels and All-School Chapels.
