These clearances are necessary for employment at New Covenant Christian School.
All Employees must have Clearances that are clear of child abuse and molestation.
Each candidate must submit a copy of an official clearance statement obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services or a statement from the Department of Human Services that no record exists.
1. Login/Registration – Go to www.compass.state.pa.us. Select “Create Individual Account” if this is your first application. Select “Individual Login” if you remember your former login/password. Wherever necessary, please designate EMPLOYMENT as the purpose for this Clearance. Please designate that you are an Employee Not Governed by the Public School Code. Volunteer clearances are not valid for employees.
2. Payment – There is a fee you must pay to complete this Clearance.
3. Access Report – Once completed, please login to the compass website with your Keystone ID to see if your Clearance is completed. It is taking several weeks to receive paperwork in the mail. If it is available on the site earlier, please send your electronic file over to the NCCS office.
This clearance must be current within one year.
1. Login/Registration – Go to https://epatch.pa.gov/. Select the grey box labeled “Submit a New Record Check” (Do not select the box for New Volunteer Record Check – that is for Volunteers only.
2. Payment – There is a fee you must pay to complete this Clearance. There is no organizational code to enter.
3. Access Report – Results should be available immediately. Once provided, please email your certificate to the NCCS office.
This report must be current within one year.
The fingerprint-based background check is a multiple-step process, as follows:
1. Registration – The applicant must register prior to going to the fingerprint site. Walk in service is allowed but all applicants are required to complete pre-enrollment in the new Universal Enrollment system. Pre-enrollment can be completed online or over the phone. The registration website is available online 24 hours/day, seven days per week at https://uenroll.identogo.com. Telephonic registration is available at 1-844-321-2101 Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm EST.
When registering on-line, an applicant must use the appropriate agency specific Service Code to ensure they are processed for the correct agency and/or applicant type. The 6-Character Service Code for NCCS is: 1KG6TR
2. Payment – The applicant will pay a fee for the fingerprint service and to secure an unofficial copy of the Criminal History Record.
3. Fingerprint Locations – After registration, the applicant must proceed to the fingerprint site of their choice for electronic fingerprinting. The location of the fingerprint sites along with days and hours of operation for each site are posted here.
4. Access Report – Applicants must provide their UEID# from their receipt to the NCCS office in order for the school to retrieve the results.
This clearance must be current within one year.
Each candidate must submit a copy the Act 168 Form for each current or previous employer where they have had direct contact with children. These forms will serve as reports of any potential misconduct or abuse in prior places of employment.
1. Registration – The applicant must fill out the top portion and then request this Act 168 Form to be completed by each place of prior employment where they had direct contact with children. Prior places of employment must complete this form within 20 calendar days of receipt. You can download the form here: Act 168 Form
2. Payment – There is no fee for this clearance.
3. Access Report – Applicants must provide as many Act 168 forms as necessary to document all prior employment with direct contact with children. Applicants can deliver these forms for NCCS or the previous employers can send them to the NCCS office.
This clearance must be current from the time of application with NCCS.
Each candidate must sign this form to indicate whether or not they have been arrested or convicted of any Reportable Offense.
This form is available to the applicant during the interview process and must be signed and witnessed in our office.
