URGENT NEED - april 2025 - School end Cafeteria Custodial Worker

Temporary, Part-Time Position (Most School Days)
New Covenant Christian School seeks a part-time Cafeteria Custodial Worker for 20-25 hours per week (10:30am - 3:00pm), starting April 7, 2025. This person would work each school day when lunches are served (no holidays or early dismissal days). Qualifications: Some custodial experience necessary, must be able to carry up to 25lbs, and carry out normal duties associated with custodial tasks. Cafeteria duties include: Posting lunch details on the computer, wiping tables between lunches, taking care of trash between lunches, mopping the cafeteria and kitchen at the end of lunches, etc. Applicants must have all required clearances for school employees, must read and agree to NCCS Employee Agreement, and be engaged in a local church body.

Full-Time Elementary Aide

KidZone Coordinator

Part-Time, Daily After-School Care | Grades K4-5
New Covenant Christian School seeks a friendly and detail-oriented KidZone Coordinator. The KidZone Coordinator is responsible for after-school childcare for students in K4 through grade 5 between the hours of 2:45pm – 5:30pm on full days of school. Qualifications include a high school diploma (at a minimum), prior experience working with children, polite and professional communication (in-person, on the phone, and through email), and must have all required NCCS clearances. New Covenant Christian School seeks an Assistant Coach for the Varsity/JV Boys Basketball team. The authority and responsibility of the Assistant Coach, under the guidance of the Head Coach, is to provide for the health, safety, physical, mental, and educational development of each athlete on the team. Required Clearance Documents

These clearances are necessary for employment at New Covenant Christian School.

All Employees must have Clearances that are clear of child abuse and molestation.

ACT 151 – PA Child Abuse History Clearance

Each candidate must submit a copy of an official clearance statement obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services or a statement from the Department of Human Services that no record exists.

1. Login/Registration – Go to www.compass.state.pa.us. Select “Create Individual Account” if this is your first application. Select “Individual Login” if you remember your former login/password. Wherever necessary, please designate EMPLOYMENT as the purpose for this Clearance. Please designate that you are an Employee Not Governed by the Public School Code. Volunteer clearances are not valid for employees.

2. Payment – There is a fee you must pay to complete this Clearance.

3. Access Report – Once completed, please login to the compass website with your Keystone ID to see if your Clearance is completed. It is taking several weeks to receive paperwork in the mail. If it is available on the site earlier, please send your electronic file over to the NCCS office.

This clearance must be current within one year.

ACT 34 – PA State Police Criminal Record Check 

Each candidate must submit a copy of an official clearance statement obtained from the Pennsylvania State Police that no record exists.

1. Login/Registration – Go to https://epatch.pa.gov/. Select the grey box labeled “Submit a New Record Check” (Do not select the box for New Volunteer Record Check – that is for Volunteers only.

2. Payment – There is a fee you must pay to complete this Clearance. There is no organizational code to enter.

3. Access Report – Results should be available immediately. Once provided, please email your certificate to the NCCS office.

This report must be current within one year.

ACT 114 of 2006, Section III of the Public School Code  –  Federal Fingerprinting Clearance

The fingerprint-based background check is a multiple-step process, as follows:

1. Registration – The applicant must register prior to going to the fingerprint site. Walk in service is allowed but all applicants are required to complete pre-enrollment in the new Universal Enrollment system. Pre-enrollment can be completed online or over the phone. The registration website is available online 24 hours/day, seven days per week at https://uenroll.identogo.com. Telephonic registration is available at 1-844-321-2101 Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm EST.

When registering on-line, an applicant must use the appropriate agency specific Service Code to ensure they are processed for the correct agency and/or applicant type. The 6-Character Service Code for NCCS is: 1KG6TR

2. Payment – The applicant will pay a fee for the fingerprint service and to secure an unofficial copy of the Criminal History Record.

3. Fingerprint Locations – After registration, the applicant must proceed to the fingerprint site of their choice for electronic fingerprinting. The location of the fingerprint sites along with days and hours of operation for each site are posted here.

4. Access Report – Applicants must provide their UEID# from their receipt to the NCCS office in order for the school to retrieve the results.

This clearance must be current within one year.

ACT 168 – Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release

Step 1:

Each candidate for employment must provide our School Office with a copy of the Act 168 – Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form (Act 168 Form) for all employers that fall within the following three categories: 

  1. The applicant’s current employer (regardless of whether the employer was a school entity and/or where the applicant had direct contact with children); 
  2. All former employers of the applicant that were school entities; and
  3. All former employers where the applicant was employed in a position where he or she had direct contact with children.

 

Step 2:

For each employer that falls within one or more of the three categories above, the candidate for employment will:

  1. Fill out the top portion of the form with the current or former employer’s contact information.
  2. Complete Section 1 of the form, print, and sign the form.
  3. Submit the form to our School Office (email to officestaff@nccspa.org)

 

Step 3:

New Covenant Christian School will submit the forms to each of the employers for whom you have provided a form. These employers must complete this form within 20 calendar days of receipt.

Payment – There is no fee for this clearance.

ACT 24 – Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form

Each candidate must sign this form to indicate whether or not they have been arrested or convicted of any Reportable Offense. 

This form is available to the applicant during the interview process and must be signed and witnessed in our office.
