Current Openings:

Science Teacher – High School
New Covenant Christian School seeks a full-time high school science teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year. Courses include Earth & Space Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science Survey. Elective options vary. PA certification in a secondary science discipline is preferred.

Chemistry Teacher – High School
New Covenant Christian School seeks a part-time teacher for one section of high school Chemistry, with labs, requiring a one-hour commitment per school day. PA teaching certification in Chemistry or a related field is desired; a demonstrated ability to teach high school level Chemistry is essential.

Short-Term Substitute Art Teacher – K-12
New Covenant Christian School seeks a short-term substitute K-12 Art Teacher for the first quarter of the 2018-2019 academic year from August 27 – October 31. Courses include Elementary Art K-5th grade, Middle School Art for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, Middle School Art History elective, and High School electives of Art Foundations and Drawing and Composition. PA certification in Art K-12 is preferred.

Part-time High School ESL Instructor:
New Covenant Christian School seeks a part-time ESL instructor for the 2018-2019 academic year. Duties include: ELL instruction and academic support in 1:1 and small group settings for our high school exchange student population.
Experience and ESL training are preferred. This is an hourly position with flexible scheduling.

New Covenant Christian School seeks Substitute Teachers at all grade levels. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), PA Teaching Certification (not required), IU13 Guest Teacher Training (preferred, not required), experience in the classroom setting (required), in agreement with New Covenant doctrinal and lifestyle statements, engaged in a local church body. Please complete the Substitute Teacher Application found on our website, www.nccspa.org. Current educational clearances are required (dated 2017).

ACT 151 (PA Child Abuse History Clearance) 

Each candidate must submit a copy of an official clearance statement obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare
or a statement from the Department of Public Welfare that no record exists.  This clearance must be current within one year.
The applicant MUST submit the ORIGINAL report prior to employment.


ACT 34 – PA State Police Criminal Record Check 

This report must be current within one year.


 ACT 114 of 2006, Section III of the Public School Code   –  Federal Fingerprinting

This clearance must be current within one year.
