Through the Grades

New Covenant Christian School is a K4 to 12th grade school dedicated to transforming our community through deeper relationships: students and families, church communities, local community, and world community.

K4

Our full-time and part-time K4 program provides the rich soil of a loving, caring and encouraging environment for students to flourish academically, spiritually and socially…blooming into Kindergarten-ready students.

Using a Letter-of-the-Week theme with related Bible memory verses and an experience-rich environment, the K4 program seeks to educate the whole child. Regular routines of play and exercise, small and whole group activities, and individual goals promote academic and social development. Supplemental field trips are scheduled to reinforce and enhance learning.

Educational instruction includes areas of letter identification and phonics, letter formation and Kid Writing, colors and shapes, numbers and counting, mathematical concepts and hands-on science, art and music, and more. Regular feedback of student progress is provided, and ongoing communication between home and school is valued and cultivated.

K4 at New Covenant is where little learners are nurtured to grow into students that follow Jesus and serve others in and through the kingdom of God.

Elementary

New Covenant Christian School offers Kindergarten through fifth grade classes taught by Pennsylvania certified, highly qualified teachers. Daily Bible instruction, memory verses, a weekly chapel, and a whole school yearly theme, along with biblical integration across the curriculum encourage our students’ spiritual growth. Weekly specials include art, music, technology, library, and physical education.

Communication between home and school is a top priority. You can expect regular communication with your child’s teacher and quarterly reports of student progress.

Middle School

The middle school at New Covenant Christian School consists of sixth through eighth grades. Our middle school students attend courses conducted by qualified educators in each subject area of Arithmetic, Science, Language Arts, and Social Science. Spanish is introduced in eighth grade. Curriculum is selected for its academic excellence. Students can stretch their Christian faith through Bible classes, prayer, a weekly chapel, and the integration of biblical principles throughout the curricula.

Students attend specials classes in Art, Library, Music, Physical Education, Computer/Technology and engage in specials clubs  during the school day. Middle school students may also opt to join our middle school choir and combined middle/high school band. The annual NCCS Musical is a unique drama opportunity bringing together both middle school and high school to highlight each student’s onstage or backstage talents.

High School

Academic excellence is pursued in our high school with talented faculty and the selection of top curricula. Students are nurtured in the Christian faith through daily Bible classes, prayer, a weekly chapel, and the integration of biblical principles throughout the curricula. Course offerings in core subjects and electives are designed to exceed Pennsylvania’s state graduation requirements and prepare students for next steps upon receiving their high school diploma.

New Covenant Christian School offers Advanced Placement classes, internships, high school credit for approved college courses (Dual Credit), as well as a variety of Art, Music, Computer and other electives. Math courses range from Pre-algebra to Calculus. Freshmen and sophomores study Spanish I and Spanish II, while juniors and seniors may continue language study with Spanish III and Spanish IV or choose from 20+ languages  through Rosetta Stone Language Study. Our annual Musical is a unique drama opportunity bringing together both middle school and high school to highlight each student’s onstage or backstage talents.

New Covenant students may apply to attend Lebanon Country Career and Technology Center and still complete their high school career with their class at NCCS by attending half-days at each institution.
