Special Education Teacher with a Language Arts Focus
New Covenant seeks a full-time, PA certified special education teacher with a strength in the area of Language Arts elementary through the high school level. This position also includes academic support to middle school and high school students with an individual support plan.
Science Teacher – High School
New Covenant seeks a full-time science teacher with strengths in the areas of Chemistry, General Sciences, and Earth & Space Science. PA certification in one of these areas is preferred, as well as an interest in and the ability to teach courses in a variety of science disciplines.
Elementary – First Grade Teacher
New Covenant is adding a second section of first grade for the 2017-2018 academic year and seeks qualified, experienced applicants for this full-time teaching position. Applicants should hold PA certification at the elementary level.
Paraprofessional Aide Positions
New Covenant seeks applicants for anticipated paraprofessional aide position(s) for the 2017-2018 academic year. Duties may include morning, recess, and cafeteria supervision, student assistance under teacher supervision, photocopying and preparation of classroom materials, and other support needs. Applicants should have experience working with elementary age students and be flexible, team players willing to work under the direction and supervision of teachers and administrative staff. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is required. The ideal applicant will be available Monday through Friday during school hours, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Food Service Assistant
New Covenant seeks a person to assist with food preparation, serving and clean-up in the kitchen and cafeteria. This part-time hourly position is Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from approximately 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM on days when lunches are served. If interested, please submit a Non-Faculty Application.
ACT 151 (PA Child Abuse History Clearance) Each candidate must submit a copy of an official clearance statement obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare or a statement from the Department of Public Welfare that no record exists. This clearance must be current within one year. The applicant MUST submit the ORIGINAL report prior to employment.
ACT 34 – PA State Police Criminal Record Check *
This report must be current within one year. PDE-6004
ACT 114 of 2006, Section III of the Public School Code * – Federal Fingerprinting
This clearance must be current within one year.
ACT 168 – Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release *
Employment history review submitted by hiring school.
ACT 24 – Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form *
Required for employment decisions in a school entity.
