Kelli Russo – IU13 Reading Specialist & Math Instructor – firstname.lastname@example.org
Greetings! My name is Kelli Russo. It is with great pleasure that I formally introduce myself to you as the Reading Specialist/Math Instructor from the Lancaster-Lebanon IU13. I would like to express my joy and dedication while sharing some information about my educational background and professional experience.
I earned my Master’s degree in Education and reading specialist degree at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. This specialized training enables me to support, supplement and extend classroom teaching for your child. I previously taught grades 2, 3, and 4 for many years as a classroom teacher. This is my fourth year as a Reading Specialist with the Lancaster-Lebanon IU13. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, reading, playing board games, and watch football and hockey.
I service students in Kindergarten through Eighth grade in math and Kindergarten through Twelfth grade in reading. The IU 13 Nonpublic School Services, Instructional Program provides free, remedial assistance to help students with skill gaps in reading and math close those gaps. This program is provided through Pennsylvania Act 89 which is funded with tax dollars. Students are referred by teachers, the principal, other school personnel, parent/guardian, or by the student’s own request. Middle school students come to my office during study hall blocks and elementary school students’ work with me at a teacher approved time. Reading students typically meet three times a week for approximately 30 minutes and math students usually meet two times a week for 30 minutes.
If you have specific needs or questions regarding your child’s progress, I encourage you to contact me. I will be happy to serve as a resource and offer helpful suggestions for students in the IU13 reading/math program.
