Heidi Fisher – K4 Teacher
Heidi Fisher is the K4 teacher at New Covenant. She graduated summa cum laude from Grove City College with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten in Lebanon for 5 years before becoming “Mom” to her 4 children. Over the years, she taught 3 of her own children in a preschool co-op in a home setting and found such a passion and joy in teaching preschool that she was thrilled by the opportunity to return to the classroom in K4 at New Covenant. She loves this age-group and delights in sharing in the beginning of children’s educational experience! She and her husband, Bryce, are grateful to have all 4 of their children attend New Covenant too. She enjoys spending time with family and friends at home, our church: Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church, the beach, or in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, from where she originates.
One of her favorite scriptures is found in Mark 10:14-16
“He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.”
This scripture provokes a vision in her heart for the love that God has for little children, and she shares the heart of Jesus to see the little children blessed and accept the kingdom of God with all the child-like innocence and purity in their hearts.

In her free time, Miss Meyer enjoys visiting local coffee shops, spending time with family and friends, and serving in her church.
Miss Meyer’s favorite verse is 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain”
Amy Krick – Second Grade Teacher
Mrs. Krick was born and raised in Lebanon, and graduated from Millersville University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Maryland for two years, Harrisburg City for five years, and Lebanon City five years. She was then a stay at home mom with her youngest daughter, however, her passion and calling from God was to return to teaching. Mrs. Krick feels blessed to have made her way to New Covenant Christian School, and love’s the opportunity she has to work for a school who is committed to teaching the Word of God and preparing students to be leaders for Christ. She feels honored to work for the Lord and teach the children at this school.
Mrs. Krick attends Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church in Jonestown, where she also volunteers in the Children’s Ministry. Verses that are inspirational to her are:
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Samantha Leahy – Third Grade Teacher

Mrs. Leahy finds great encouragement in the book of Philippians. Some of her favorite verses are Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” and Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

After college, she was introduced to the Harrisburg School District through her husband, who was a high school teacher there. Throughout her years in Harrisburg she felt that the Lord had provided her with wonderful mentors, colleagues, educational opportunities and an overwhelming amount of passion for her job as an educator. Mrs. Demler’s decision to come to New Covenant was led by her desire to be closer to her family. In 2009 Mrs. Demler and her husband welcomed their first child, Qynne Alyse, a second child in 2011, Jay Braden, and their youngest child, Hayes, “a ‘spit-fire’, who always keeps us on our toes”. New Covenant has provided Mrs. Demler with an opportunity to be closer to home while giving her own children an educational foundation that is saturated with the “Love of Christ.” She is extremely excited to be a part of the New Covenant family and is overjoyed to be able to share Christ’s love with her students.
“Be joyful always pray continually give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you, in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
