Stephanie Snyder – Director of Academic Services
My husband, Ken, and I attend First United Methodist Church of Schuylkill Haven. We have two children, both alumni of New Covenant Christian School.
I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology-Chemistry from Sweet Briar College, Virginia, and earned my Master of Education degree and elementary education teaching certification through Temple University. I’m currently in my second year of the Master of Arts in Leadership Development with Spiritual Formation program at Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown.
I’ve always enjoyed cross-cultural experiences and ministries. St. Andrews University, Scotland, was my Junior Year Abroad destination. After college graduation, I taught math and science for a year in a rural Kenyan school. I’ve been on short-term mission trips to Puerto Rico, Brazil, New Brunswick, and Ukraine. I enjoy traveling, cooking a wide variety of ethnic foods, relaxing with a book in hand, visiting arboretums, and seeking treasures at thrift shops.
Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” is a verse that is particularly meaningful to me, a reminder not to be consumed with the busyness of life but to maintain focus and balance on the most important relationship in my life.
